SINGIN’ GERSHWINS

AURA NEBIOLO QUARTET

This musical lineup was born in 2016 from the collaboration of singer Aura Nebiolo with vibraphonist Maurizio Vespa and double bassist Enrico Ciampini; over time drummer Edo Bellotti was added to the original lineup.

Over the years and in their various live performances, the musicians have honed their interplay, learning how to make the most of the sounds of the instruments with the vocals to bring to life refined and captivating arrangements.

A deep passion for jazz unites the members of the group, and the repertoire draws from the 20th-century American songbook. A significant part of the program is devoted to the“Singin’ Gerswhin” project in which the quartet presents a selection of well-known pieces composed by brothers George and Ira Gershwin (e.g.,“Summertime“) rearranged for the specific formation.

Aura Nebiolo, a graduate in Jazz Singing from the Conservatory of Cuneo, has been active in the Italian jazz scene for more than a decade despite her young age.
