Corrispondenze is a project that develops within the FAREspazio_note research on landscape , the result of the collaboration between Paola Boscaini and Cristina Materassi, with the aim of investigating the forms that living impresses on space. It is an investigation that takes shape, from time to time, through the activation of relational artistic practices and public participation.

The purpose of Corrispondenze is to document how the ways of living are expressed within the urban context, ranging from the public to the private, human and non-human spheres. Creating relationships, sharing perceptions, collecting individual testimonies is presented, in our opinion, as the only way to understand and tell how the forms of living take place in a specific place.

Correspondences is based on documentation processes that allow us to create a foundation on which to work. A base that shows everyone’s desires, needs and conditions well, since it is people who shape the territory, in a continuous dialogue with the surrounding environment.

Correspondences is an ongoing investigation that has “correspondence” as its founding principle.

Corresponding as correspondence, exchange of letters between people, correspondence made of reciprocal relationships between different elements, webs of intricate relationships that seek a form (Calvino, 1972).
